IBM and citizen-centricity

January 31, 2008

IBM wanted to communicate their point-of-view on citizen-centricity in an attention-grabbing way. The objective was to differentiate IBM from the competition by focusing on their track record of delivering citizen-centric services and client ready solutions.

With the use of photography commissioned and managed by Frameworks and quotes from the public, the brochure sent a strong message about how IBM was listening and how they are aware of the problems facing people today.

'Knowledge at your fingertips' with IBM

August 21, 2007

IBM asked Frameworks to create a 'leave-behind' for sales executives of small to medium sized businesses, that tells the story of IBM's Information on Demand (IOD) offering.

We created illustrations of owls using fingerprints, to represent the title of the piece: 'Knowledge at your fingertips'. The final design used a concertina fold, making it engaging and exciting for its intended target audience.

IBM banking community black book and
values card

December 12, 2006

When the IBM UK banking community wanted to increase awareness of the skill sets of its widespread group of multi-talented consultants within the group, it came to Frameworks for help. Using around 160 photo ID images and profiles supplied, we created a ‘black book’ of contacts retouched to look like a set of superhero ‘Top Trumps’ in the corporate advertising campaign style (‘What Makes You Special?’). The book enabled the team to learn more about their colleagues’ ‘super’ achievements – profiles covered their backgrounds, favourite projects worked on and area of expertise, as well as the line ‘What Makes You Special?’ – and was accompanied by a values card, which housed a memory stick containing a video by the lead partner and a soft copy of the book. The printed pieces were distributed at the team event held in November.

Our client, Mark Stewart, Associate Partner, Banking said:
We wanted to create a reference guide of and for our team, but something that would be fun, innovative and emphasize that our strength as a team is based upon what makes us special as individuals. We worked closely with Frameworks who helped us create something both memorable and functional. Frameworks delivered an all round package of creativity and project management supported with great account management which was friendly, responsiveness and reliable.

IBM Retail Store Solutions

February 10, 2005

The National Retail Federation conference is one of the most important events for IBM’s Retail Store Solutions (RSS). To support IBM’s vision of on demand retail solutions for the show, Frameworks was selected to develop a new image campaign and suite of photographs for use throughout the stand, as well as collateral, online and promotional materials.

“Frameworks commissions photography on annual basis for RSS, and each year we endeavour to maintain and develop a fresh, edgy look and feel that will help IBM’s profile in the retail market place,” says Helena Backhouse, Frameworks’ Principal of Client Services. “Balancing the need to include physical hardware with the creative imperative can be challenging, and requirements can change many times to the shoot itself, but our results have always been met with excitement.”

The theme for January’s National Retail Federation was ‘Redefining Retail’, and for the thousands of retailers who visited, IBM was no exception. It was important that the photography reflected the innovation of IBM’s solutions with creativity that would attract retailers – arguably some of the world’s greatest marketers in their own right – whilst remaining on brand to IBM.

“Frameworks’ photography was enthusiastically endorsed today,” said Bill Watson, Senior Manager of IMC for IBM’s Distribution Sector and Retail Store Solutions. “Thank you for your vision, and the great collaboration, expertise, guidance and execution.”

IBM Business Consulting Services

November 23, 2004

IBM's Business Consulting Services division is the world's largest consulting services organisation, working in partnership with some of the world's leading software vendors. To develop and deliver solutions that meet its clients' individual business needs, IBM Business Consulting Services requires proposals that detail the unique benefits IBM can offer in a clear, considered and concise manner. The division selected Frameworks to provide technical writing and editing on two key tenders to the UK Government.

"We chose Frameworks to support two of the largest bids that we have ever produced," said Roger Wyn-Jones, Partner and Bid Executive. "They were an integral part of our final editing process and put in the long hours and weekends with our own employees when we needed them."

Responsiveness to deadlines has been an important part of the overall support package that Frameworks provides to IBM Business Consulting Services. Helena Backhouse, Principal of Client Services at Frameworks explained: "We understand the pressure our clients are under in the critical stages of large bids, and as such, we endeavour to become a flexible extension to the team, working as hard as our clients work. Their success is our success."

IBM's unique offering, combined with a winning proposal, resulted in the significant acquisition of Defra business.
